Alicante Spain is our regional capital, with a very attractive harbour surrounded by restaurants, there is also a pretty wide promenade, and big city avenues for shopping. There is an old arab castle Santa Barbara on a hill, which is best accessed by lift from the main road on the seafront. Great for gastronomy or cultural events, worth a day out!

Getting to Alicante – 40 minutes by car on the A7 motorway, also accessible in about an hour by tram or bus.
