Further afield, you could visit Benidorm for a lively day out, there are two large sandy beaches Levante and Poniente which both meet up at the old town.

Join the Spanish in having a “paseo” (walk) on the Levante beach promenade, close to which there is the “new town” which is much more British, with lots of live music acts and more “lively” bars.

Alternatively, for a more authentic Spanish experience follow the promenade to the old town, visit the platform out at sea, and take a few tapas with the locals.
