Things To Do
Local Markets
Shop locally for the best fruit and vegetables, along with locally produced almonds, olive oil, bread, roasted chickens, as well as view clothing and household bargains.
The main market in Albir takes place on a Sunday morning in the large car park about half way down the avenue. Buy fruit and vegetables from a local farmer, pickled vegetables, cured hams, dried fish, freshly roasted spit chicken, fresh artisanal bread and cakes, or browse stalls of clothes and household goods. A similar market also takes place on the edge of Alfaz del Pi every Friday morning.
“Sundays mornings in Albir are about the colourful fruit market, the smell of spit roast chickens, a freshly made pastry and coffee with a friend”
How to get to Albir’s Sunday Market
The market takes place on a large municipal car park, half way down the main shopping avenue in Albir. (between the main avenue and the dry river bed)
Benidorm’s EL Cisne Rastro flea market
For antiquities and a flea market, visit the weekend Rastro market El Cisne on the outskirts of Benidorm. A little touristy but can be fun to listen to the live music after and have a cheap plate of paella.
